What is a ReStore?

A ReStore is a non-profit, retail business that utilizes donations from individuals, businesses, and manufacturers. Donations such as new and reusable appliances and building materials are cleaned, tested, and resold to the general public. The items are sold at 50-70% below market value benefiting families with homes in need of renovation and improved energy efficiency.

How do ReStores benefit Habitat for Humanity of York County?

The ReStore revenues are used to support Habitat for Humanity York County’s mission of building homes for hardworking, low income families in York County.

What days and hours is the ReStore open?

The ReStore is open Wednesday through Saturday. From April 1st to October 31st the ReStore is open 9 am to 5 pm. Winter hours, November 1st; to March 31st, are 10 am to 5 pm. The ReStore can be contacted Wednesday through Saturday at 207-502-7021.

Where is the ReStore located?

The ReStore is located at 4 Industrial Drive, Kennebunk, Maine 04043. Industrial Drive is off of US 1 (York St.) which is adjacent to Garrett Pillsbury, Heating and Plumbing.

Who can shop at the ReStores?

The ReStore is open to the general public.

What kind of payment do you accept?

The ReStore accepts cash, credit card (Visa and Master Card), debit cards, money orders, and checks.

Does the ReStore deliver purchased items?

The ReStore does not deliver. All items must be picked up from the store after purchasing. The ReStore will store purchased items for up to five days to allow time to make arrangements for pickup.

How long has the ReStore been open?

The ReStore’s Grand Openning was Saturday, June 1, 2013.

What can I donate to the ReStore?

Will I receive a tax deduction when I make a donation?

Yes, all donations are tax deductible and you will receive a donation receipt to use for tax purposes.

Who determines the value of the items that I donate?

It is the donor’s responsibility to submit the value of the donation provided to ReStore.

Does ReStore pick up donations?

Yes, the ReStore can pick up your donation. Please call the ReStore at 207-502-7021 to schedule a pick up.

During what hours do you pick up donations?

Scheduled appointments are normally made for Wednesday and Friday from 9 AM until 2 PM. An approximate time for
the pick up will be given. Please call 207-985-4850 to make an appointment.

What happens if there is severe weather on the day my donations are scheduled for pickup?

Our staff will contact you to reschedule your pickup.

What kind of condition do my materials have to be in to make a donation?

All materials must be in clean and in good, working condition. Click here for a list of acceptable donations.
